Move More, Stress Less: A Simple 20-Minute Fall Indoor Wellness Routine to Feel Balanced Again
The transition after summer can have us feeling a little off, right? The sun goes down earlier, your energy might be lower, your calendar busier and your usual routines harder to stick with. The good news? You CAN stop this “feeling off train” before it leaves the station to the town called ” No Return” by incorporating a fall wellness routine. I got a perfect, quick and simple routine to get you going.
Remember action proceeds motivation. Here is a little something you can put into action and restore balance in just 15-20 minutes a day…no gym membership or complicated schedule required. You set the time, but just start it and go from there.
The 20-Minute Daily “Move More” Routine
(If this is not your style remember, you can just walk for the 20 minutes, but maybe shake it up a couple times a week and try this for a little variety. And always consult your doctor for a safe health plan, routine, etc for you and modify where necessary.)
1️⃣ 5-Minute Warm-Up
Step side to side, do a light jog or even a march to your favorite music. Just keep moving or dancing for the 5 minutes. Simple movement wakes your body and gets circulation flowing. Don’t be fooled…you do not have to have a fancy warm-up, just you and your will, will take you far, my friend!
2️⃣ 10-Minute Isometric Strength Routine (No weights required. This is an isometric workout, we are just using our own body here. Engage your muscles while in motion and enjoy your workout!)
Complete three rounds of:
- 10 squats
- 10 push-ups (wall or floor)
- 10 lunges per leg
- 10 bicep curls
- 10 Tricep kickbacks
3️⃣ 5-Minute Cool Down
End with deep breathing or a few gentle stretches. Focus on how your body feels — lighter, calmer, more connected.
Pro Tip: Track your mood, energy, and sleep as you do this routine. You’ll notice the subtle but powerful impact on your well-being.
