The golden light, sweater weather, the beautiful changing leaves…it’s fall ya’ll!
It’s the perfect time to refresh your routine, nourish your body, and create a rhythm that feels natural, productive and peaceful.
No matter what season of life you are in, small, meaningful shifts that help you feel energized, balanced, and naturally beautiful seem to never disappoint!
Here are five of my favorite fall wellness habits to help you thrive all season long.
1️⃣ Eat for Warmth & Balance
As temperatures cool, your body craves grounding foods.
- Choose warm, cooked meals to take advantage of the season’s harvest. Think roasted vegetables, grain bowls, soups, and stews. Of course a salad on the side is always a winner if you like that crunchy raw nourishment.
- Add healthy fats like olive oil, avocado, nuts, and seeds to stay satisfied longer.
- Sprinkle in seasonal stars: sweet potatoes, squash, apples, and beets for color and comfort.

2️⃣ Move with the Season
Movement doesn’t have to mean a full workout plan. Fall is about flexibility. In fact forget the pressure of having a full workout plan if it is just leaving you stuck! Keep moving forward with these tips:
- Take a brisk 10-minute walk to enjoy the changing colors.
- When it’s chilly or rainy, roll out your mat for a gentle stretch or yoga flow indoors.
- Keep it simple: just move your body daily. Don’t get caught up in that “all or nothing” thought process. That will only stop you from taking action and potentially feeling better!
3️⃣ Create a Cozy Evening Ritual
When daylight fades earlier, it’s your cue to unwind.
- Brew herbal tea, light a candle, and take a few deep breaths.
- If screens don’t bother you, keep them if you want, if they don’t serve you…set limits for yourself and find something else to do with that time, like a good book, magazine, color, diamond art or fall craft you can do that is relaxing. (I’ve been rug latch hooking recently. So relaxing!) You can find a ton of cute ones. Click the above links or the pics below and browse! Let me know if you get one! We can share our projects!
- Journal three things you’re grateful for or just savor your hot tea and think about those things.
These tiny rituals calm your nervous system and improve sleep.
My families’ favorites (You got to get over the names of the teas…hahha): Traditional Medicinals Gas Relief Tea- Chamomile Mint and Traditional Medicinals Healthy Cycle Tea- Raspberry Leaf
My Personal Favorite Clean Beauty Skincare Favorites for a gentle nighttime reset: Oil Cleanser (Unbelievable cleanser! Give it a shot!) Bakuchiol Duo- Such a powerful, natural, non-toxic, anti-aging duo!
4️⃣ Refresh Your Mind & Mood
Autumn invites reflection.
Take five quiet minutes each morning to check in:
“What do I need to feel balanced today, that can be accomplished in the time I have to devout to it?” (Hint: Maybe that means your project gets broken up into parts, but at least you started instead of staying stagnant in your request for peace.:)
Then give yourself permission to say no to what doesn’t serve you.
Sometimes self-care is simply slowing down enough to hear your own thoughts. (Take that in for a second. Life can be figuratively LOUD. Try taking even 10 -15 minutes without the TV, radio, phone, etc and just be. What do you feel? Over time does it help with clarity?
5️⃣ Rest—Without Guilt
Falling leaves remind us that rest is natural.
- Go to bed 30 minutes earlier.
- Keep your bedroom cool and dark.
- If you’re tired, rest—no apology needed.
Rest is underrated. It can recharge every part of you…mind, body, and spirit.
Final Thoughts
Fall is a gift. Although this kicks off the busy season for many, it is also a time of reset. Sometimes, busy schedules add more structure to allow for healthy habits. It’s about aligning your energy with nature’s slower rhythm and finding balance that feels good in your body.
Small changes. Big results. More Balanced—not burned out.
